Well, it's nice that I didn't get a letter in the mail, but a company I worked for had WDGBT do their accounting and retirement and tax stuff... I think some payroll functions, too...

THANKS FOR MAKING ME READ ABOUT IT IN THE NEWSPAPER!

I love this one http://lancaster.craigslist.org/laf/921036544.html and i still have not heard about it anywhere else. Shouldnt the public be notified?

I went through a similar situation and here is what I did. I went to the police and filed a report to put this on record. The police typed up a report. I submitted a copy of this report to one of the three credit agencies that issue credit ratings in the US. You can ask that they put your records on a credit watch list for 7 years.

They will put you on a 1 year watch list without the police report. You just have to ask.

There is no cost to doing this. It makes it very difficult for someone to use your personal information without you being contacted first.

You are correct. The "ironclad" flash drives are still in use. It it impossible to enforce something like this, so they make the blanket statement to put all on notice.

Which branch(es) of the military are you saying use this type of flash drive?

It is not impossible to enforce this on the navy/marine corp network. If these drives are used, the network detects them and shuts down the port. I would think the other branches have similar but I don't know for sure.

I agree with you 100%. Great people, great service.

Great people, great service BUT ZERO SECURITY.
I'd rather deal with rude people giving poor service, if they have good security !!!!
