My/our favorite restaurant-- has been for years! I remember sitting in a booster as a kid in the main dining room eating fried blue fish and those great rolls. Our family would go out to dinner, often at Kegel's, and a movie; usually a Disney movie at the King Theater. I've noticed the 'greying' of the fellow patrons, but have always enjoyed the fact that so little else has changed... and knew sooner or later it would. Hope the wait staff stays on.
We were very disappointed when the Salad Dressing doohickey disappeared; so many years of some of each. I knew then it was the Beginning of the End.
Just keep the rolls... and the neighborhood feel... and the generous pours... and the Oyster Stew... fresh seafood... and all will be well. Best wishes to new owners; my birthday is coming up and we'll be there soon.

Mr. and I have been to Kegels for special occasions, too. We may go there again sometime for a special occasion when not at Josephines Restaurant in Marietta.
