You are right navy wife.
The employee of the warehouse should have never thought of using a gun when faced with losing his life. He should have negotiated with the thieves. Maybe just give them what they want and pray they don't kill him.
Maybe he should have suggested therapy for them. Maybe they just needed a hug!

I'm starting to gag...

I never said the employee shouldn't defend themselves. What I said is that the ending of a life should not be celebrated just because the person who died was commiting a crime.

I truly feel sorry for you. If you are this angry and judgemental off the board, I will not only keep you in my thoughts and prayers, but also your loved ones...must be hard living with someone like you. I can barely stand you on this thread.

Gag all you want...you have my pity.

Here are the facts as we know them thusfar. This woman chose to take care of this child. FACT. This woman in no way commited the crime that he chose to commit. FACT. This woman is grieving the loss of another human being. FACT. Everyon deals with grief differently. FACT.

If this were your child how would it make you feel to be called all these names and ridiculed for a behavior that she had absolutely no control over whatsoever? Just think about it is all i'm saying.

Just understanding where you are coming from...
A mother loves deeply and unconditionally...I don't know her, but her anger pretty much jumps off the computer screen when I read what she has written. As a mom, I am sure she has been reflective in trying to figure out what happened to her son along the way, maybe what she could have done differently and she is angry that only her son has been punished for a crime with his life while the other is still free...
She doesn't need to be kicked when she is down and I think that is what has pissed me off reading ROS posts. Anyone who takes such joy out of kicking someone when they are down just speaks volumes about the content of their character...

Store owner or employee of a battery warehouse, who cares, he was the good guy!
This is not a trial.
He was a man put in a bad situation by criminals. He decided to defend himself. He will live with that for years.
If he had no gun we would probably be debating who killed and robbed him.

As a victim of a bank robbery, I was trained to give them what they want because no ones life is worth it. Don't know if he had a gun but he said he did and I wasn't about to find out. Money can be replaced. A life can not. And living the rest of your life having taken someones life(right or wrong) can be just as bad.

And to say to the police are to blame for the hold up in finding this other guy isn't fair. It is the scum sucking defense attorneys who use every little bit against the victim in order to get their low life client off. IT IS OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM!!!! But hey, change is coming!!!!!

What character? I'm not sure this guy is even human at this point but it's all good. He has to live with himself. Just as I am not going to convince others that I was born the way that I was born so he is not going to see the light and know how it really is. It's sad but it's true!
