We felt it out here in western Chester County. Heard the boom and everything!

Question .....
Anyone note any damage?? I noticed that the guy across the street from me lost some slate shingles off his roof.
Nothing here for me ..... The last one (in the early 80's) I lost part of my chimney.

pml-
you DO realize that noone can predict an earthquake, right?
because there's your answer as to why the emergency broadcast system wasn't used.
nor was there a pop-up or crawl on your tv.

those alerts are for people to PREPARE for an event, or to ALERT them that there is a dangerous person on the loose.
or, because there is an ACTUAL EMERGENCY, which there wasn't.
it is NOT used for, "HEY!!! SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL AND THERE WAS NO MAJOR DAMAGE!!!"
honestly, how can you even equate the two without feeling like a fool?
why?

Love to criticize media coverage of everything. Of course, it's Saturday, so no longer an afternoon New Era to fill in all the details. But, with TalkBack, and everything on the internet, coverage isn't really that bad, so we know who may or may not have been taking their midnight weekly bath!

Epicenter coordinates shown on the USG web site make it on one of those Amish farms along Landisville Road west of the Colebrook Road intersection. (Just a half mile or so down the road from the tragic accident site of just a couple days ago.) Probably will find a few more sinkholes in the County, particularly given all the recent rains.

My dear mother up near the airport looked out into her apartment hallway to see if one of her neighbors might have fallen down. She sort of assumed it wasn't one of the many local stone quarries setting off some blasts, but she wasn't quite sure. But, we never know. Another sign of the end times, I've been told!

Your mom must have some pretty hefty neighbors!

Over seven years since the attacks on 911 yet when we hear a noise like something blowing up or a major train derailment we have to go online to find out what happened. In that respect PML is right.
We are sitting ducks.

Hillary will change that, UM.
She rocks!

It's all about international relationships.
