I hope your kid doesn't come up against a gang banger with a gun. End it quick, Say stop it with meaning . Walk away with deliberation and pride. If necessary report to a teacher, parent or counselor or even police. Answering violence with violence is not always the answer.

See,your way is sure to get the kids a$$ kicked, and even surer to get him picked on again.Bullies don`t understand"Stop it" no matter how meaningful it`s said. They only understand pain.Give them some and it will stop.

The same philosophy that has got us 50 years of war in the middle east.

US is now thought of as a bully world wide. What country would you suggest stand up to the US and give us a black eye.

I have to say in my grandson's case, his speech is very hard for others to understand, and he runs with a limp, and his one arm is partially paralized. He is going to get picked on. I think I'd go with the hammer theory. One whack, and no more bullies. Perhaps pepper spray would work better. Him telling them to stop is only going to bring more teasing/bullying because of the speech issue. And having a network of friends is great when your friends are there.

I'm not a very big advocate of violence but sometimes it is the only way to resolve the issue. It sometimes ends a lifetime of agony-all in one punch and done!

I have never been in a fist fight in my life (other than with my sister when we were kids). I don't like violence either. But I also hate to see people spend years getting picked on. I know what that feels like, and it is not something I can stand around and watch silently. Maybe I'll see if I can get him hooked up with a martial arts class.
