A fourth victim of Tuesday morning's brick-throwing incidents on Route 222 has come forward, while Manheim Township police make extra patrols in the area.

Truck driver Lester Harshberger of Davidsville, Somerset County, told township police his vehicle was struck by the brick-throwing vandal or vandals during Tuesday's predawn hours.

Harshberger was northbound on Route 222, heading under Bushong Road, about 4:10 when his tractor-trailer was struck.

It resulted in $1,300 in windshield and body damage to the tractor-trailer, Manheim Township police said.

Meanwhile, township police have been busy patrolling in the area. The incidents remain under investigation, and there were no suspects as of early today.

The section of Route 222 is in the northeastern part of the township, just south of Brownstown.

Township police "have been getting calls on our tip line, and getting leads, but we'd like to get even more," township police spokesman Sgt. Tom Rudzinski said this morning.

"We want to encourage people to call" if they saw or heard anything, he said.

The Manheim Township Anonymous Crime Tip Line can be reached at (717) 569-2816.

There were similar incidents on the same bridge back in August, Sgt. Rudzinski said.

Tuesday's brick-throwing vandal or vandals caused thousands of dollars in damage, and police said motorists' lives also were put at risk.

Two other northbound motorists, John Angle of Denver and David Bowermaster of Lancaster, told police their vehicles were struck, with each sustaining some $2,000 in damage.

A third motorist, tractor-trailer driver Michael Bollinger of Kutztown, was driving southbound when his vehicle was hit, causing $600 in windshield damage, police said.

Man I hope they catch these fools soon, before someone gets killed, just driving home or to work, there is no need for something like this to be happening to anybody. The people doing this, have a very serious mental problem, and need to be caught fast.

seems like this person may be unemployed as well. I hope they get caught.

Or just some stupid kid skipping school...Ever see the movie "The Good Son" It's old...anyway this kid makes like a giant stuffed person, and then throws him off an overpass onto an interstate! His mom drops him off a cliff at the end...that's punishment!

Jake, when I heard about this brick throwing that movie came to my mind too! That was such a creepy moment and it was so weird seeing the 'nice' little boy from HOME ALONE be such a vile kid.

I know, the first time I saw it I was like....wtf! That whole movie was creepy. Sadly most of his movies following Home Alone were not good.
