A two-alarm fire destroyed a Manheim Borough home Friday night.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which broke out at 205 S. Charlotte St. at 11:09 p.m. Brandy Rhodes, deputy fire chief with Manheim Fire Co., said the residence was owned by Bill Pogue. Rhodes said Pogue lived at the house with his wife, Carol, and their two children.

Fire crews from Manheim, Penryn, Lititz, East Petersburg, Mastersonville, Mount Joy, Brunnerville, Brickerville, and Mountville responded, along with Manheim EMS, Manheim Borough police and the state fire marshal. Firefighters arrived to find "heavy smoke from three sides" of the two-story house, said Rhodes. An attached building housing a vehicle was also destroyed. The house is  next to the Cat's Meow restaurant.

Rhodes estimated damages at $360,000. "It's a total loss," he said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, Rhodes said.

South Charlotte Street, Railroad Avenue, New Charlotte Street and Steigel Street were closed during the fire. Firefighters also had to deal with icy roads.
