Sure hope all these new business survive in such a hard time. I would be pretty scared to try and open a new business right now... best wishes to them all! Support local business!

If George Agadis runs the new restaurant in Brickerville like he runs Kountry Kitchen in Manheim, I believe he will be successful. I like Kountry Kitchen - good food and friendly staff.

The former Brickerville House restaurant reopened Dec. 3 as Brickerville House Family Restaurant after being closed for just over two months.

Today is January 14th. Why the six week delay in reporting this?

I've eaten there, and can't wait to go back. I had the hamloaf (Wengert's from E-Town) and ys was delicious. The two sides I got with it (string beans, and a sweet potato) were just as good. Overall, a great place to eat. I think word is spreading pretty fast for this new establishment, and regardless of the economy, if you have great food at a great price and friendly service, you will do fine. I noticed also that Moxie's in Rothsville (formerly the White Swan) is for sale. What a shame. I know the current owners poured lots of money and time into restoring the place, and I am not sure what exactly happened, but it looks like they are selling it already, and it never opened.

I've eaten at the Kountry Kitchen north of Manheim and at the new Brickerville House. The food and service is very good. They have great lunch specials and their breakfasts are pretty good too. If their service and food is good they should do well no matter how bad the economy is. People are always looking for a good place to go.
