At this point I just hope that both families can begin to move on. I know it will be hard for both families and they have a long road ahead.

I hope they all have a lot of family and friends surrounding them for support. I can only imagine the pain that Kara feels everytime she looks at her siblings and realizes how her actions contributed to the situation they are all in. I hope they can forgive her and that she will get help to forgive herself. If her parents could speak to all of them they would tell them to forgive and move on and make the best of their lives. That is the greatest thing all of these children could do in memory of their parents - to have the courage to rise above it all and make great successes of their lives - however that may be defined.

I hope David's parents will find comfort in each other, their other children and their family.

It's pointless to speculate any further in this situation. It is sad and tragic. End of story.

Well at least you got fired up before the attack of the homeschool Mom's began. FYI I was referring to the home school support group, not home school in general
hmac,

Sorry if I misinterpreted your remark. I understand your point regarding this particular youth group. My point is, the home school support group is linked to the whole home schooling arrangement as a means to encourage socialization and group activities among these kids. Teens are typically going to be in social and activity groups with a range of ages and personal issues no matter what the situation.

I think many people missed the boat in discovering or dealing with Ludwig's personal issues. Maybe some one running the youth group knew about his previous problems, maybe not. I have heard that his church pastor tried to talk to him about the excapade that occurred last spring, but David wouldn't discuss it with him. And where were his parents in all of this? They knew about some of his activities prior to the murders. Didn't they see that he was heading downhill? I've also read that some of his friends noticed his behavior changing. Everyone seemed to be asleep at the wheel regarding this kid.

Sorry, Look Up, don't mean to interrupt your prayer, that was very nice. But I'm still having a hard time dealing with the front page news of him getting his diploma and gifts, and a party, etc., then today he pleads guilty. Who paid for the party and the gifts???
