In all seriousness, I don't see how this guy could hit not one, but two steer, even black ones in the middle of the night. If he saw a light ahead, the road had to be straight enough to see two steer.
And you're right, these are huge animals. Half the reason you make a bull a steer is because he'll grow bigger, the other half is because a one-ton animal can do a lot of damage and bulls are a liability for that reason. Plus then tend to be rather grouchy.

Oh, that had to hurt.
Wonder if he gets to keep the steers since he hit them, like you can do when you hit a deer.
For what it cost to repair the car after hitting one deer, the next one will be butchered, even if I have to do it myself. $1600 buys a lot of groceries.

I wondered that too, but then you'd have all kinds of nitwits driving through fields getting supper.
You should see what poachers are willing to do. Ok, this is a story about catching poachers in the act, but I've seen video of one running down a decoy deer with his truck. What a maroon!

I'm sure that the southern end food bank would of been thrilled if they could of had the meat!
You're absolutely right.
One half tenderized, the other half regular.
