Neither do I, DH.
If anything, GOP die-hards were rationalizing and patriotizing Dubya's ineptitude--the entire 25% of them: The libr'l media ignored his accomplishments, he had to fight two wars, he had to deal with natural disasters, . . . poor baby. You'd think he was president or something.
You are right about this, but don't confuse the GOP diehards (kool-aid drinkers) with conservatives. Bush was not a conservative and they bailed on him just as they did when they FINALLY woke up to the fact that Santorum was a fraud as well. Alot of folks I know who were still in the GOP said they would vote for a dope like Casey before they would ever vote for Santorum again. And uh....they did. lol
The lemmings that follow in lock step with both major parties are the problem. This mess we are in should have folks finally waking up to the fact that both are culpable. Obama is like Bush on steroids. I didn't vote for him or Mccain, but I thought ok, even though he caved in lock step with Bush and McCain on the first bailout, maybe he will do what he said and really try to change things once in office. Then he lets congress write a so called stimulus bill which is like giving a bunch of alcoholics the ownership of a bar. He states in his big speech that the end goal of all this is to have everyone be able to buy things they want....on credit???? I only wonder when folks will have had enough of the government coercion with the federal reserve banks raping us. Hopefully these protests are a first step.
