What actually do our legislators do in Harrisburg. Tell me WHAT? Its just a huge vacumn we pour our hard earned money into. These people are useless, its time we shrink the legislator. We have more per reps in the house than any other state. WHY???????

amen to everything said
only ignorance of history and some blind romanticism about how "special" Americans are can justify thinking that we can allow federal government to grow in power, size, and cost without eventually becoming a tyrannical monster. In many ways, it already is, in the typical ways that government does - by holding, for example, transportation money over state's heads until they agree to bow wow to some "librul" social program.
- or by hyperflating healthcare with massive spending until only government can help us afford it.
It's time for a Tea Party !

when a movement comes along that could begin a process of changing the national political direction - our county's professional career politicians are MISSING IN ACTION!

Absolutely right on Reagan, this is the type of grass roots action by legislators clearly in touch with the type of slimey politics and voter apathy that is killing our country, so where are our patriotic local boys, and girl? Nowhere to be found, they are too busy getting paid to figure out how to spend this freshly printed federal money and make it look like they are the smart ones responsible for handing it out to the idiots who dont know its really their grandkids future they are helping to kill.

"Rohrer has joined politicians from nearly half of the states in the union to introduce resolutions in their various state houses reaffirming state legislatures' right to invoke the 10th Amendment of the Constitution, giving them powers not delegated to the federal government."
That's the whole crux of the problem. A general misunderstanding of the fact that ALL federal power, legislative, executive, and judicial is derived from the states and not the other way around. It's spelled out in the US Constitution which powers the states give to the federal government and which powers they won't. That's the entire purpose of the document.
