I think the registered GVW on most highway semi's is 80,000 lbs.

this assembled unit still does not appear to make up the nearly 300 additional missing tons.

I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying the info sent to the media and municipalities is different.

So you blast the reporting as bad, spout of a bunch of numbers and "facts" but then don't give us any sources for them? So we are just supposed to take what you say at face value?

Information sent from the mover and TMI to the municipalities and utilities. I saw it first hand.

Yeah,he`s King of Providence Twp.now.

He disciplined me in Middle School for gambling with some other kids at our lunch table! I think it was payback for the accidental burn I inflicted on him when we were soldering tin candle holders in IA.

Well then, there's a clear discrepancy between info sent to municipalities and media outlets. My statement was based on logistics/coordination info presented to municipalities, and based on the entire load (more relevant) at 811 tons versus the 530 ton generator alone. For the railroad and damage and and utility and traffic issues, you have to consider the vehicle and total load length (much longer than 70 feet), and 24' high.

edited for typo

Just sayin'.

24' high?

80,000 is the maximum that we can ship our products. That is with a 3 axle trailer as well. 48,000 is the norm for a 2 axle.

We have some big loads but nothing like that. Impressive!
