Three things Obama needs to do immediately is assure men and fathers get (1) protection under the Joe Biden's Violence Against Women Act. (2) Get the feds out of the child support industry, e.g. stop giving monetary kickback to states for their imposition of monetary child support. (3) Repeal the Bradley Amendment that disallows a judge to consider circumstances around arrearages on monetary child support.

The Fed is culpable in the ruination of fathers too.

'Imposition' of child support?

Sorry. When you have kids, it is your responsibility to take care of those children financially even if you are no longer with their mother.

Respondent 'Ceejay' does not have a full understanding about the designation and collection of monetary child support today. The Feds award M-O-N-E-Y to states attorney generals for that imposition and collection. Hence states and the Feds have MONEY!!! reasons to turn (mostly) fathers into bill paying wage slaves. And another little tidbit: States attorney generals have absolutely no interest in whether the subject child ever sees its father, ever again! No how is that for a little taxpayer-funded justice?

Is your quarrel with HOW the child support is imposed and collected or WHETHER it should be imposed at all (which seemed to be the only point ceejay was making)?

Perhaps these issues would be better off if people became more responsible in their lives in both engaging themselves into marriages and bringing children into the world. It takes 2 people to create children. 2 people need to be responsible for them.
