Creighton would deny education to children

Illegal immigration is certainly an important issue in the United States. However, the bill being co-sponsored by Rep. Tom Creighton in the state House will do nothing to alleviate the problems associated with illegal immigration. In fact, it will make them worse.

Creighton's ally, Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, claims that "if the economic faucets providing dollars to illegal immigrants are turned off, they will go home." This could not be more false.

Why would people who left their homes because they could not find jobs, could not properly educate their children, and could not get proper medical care be willing to return to those conditions? Even an immigrant who would be denied services by Creighton's bill would find better conditions in the U.S. than in a rural Mexican town.

Those who cross the border illegally have committed a crime and should be dealt with in a court of law. However, one very important subset of immigrants is being forgotten: their children. They did not choose to cross the border, and they should not be punished for their parents' crimes. To deny health care and education to innocent children is neither American nor Christian.

I hope Creighton, Metcalfe, and all state legislators consider these children when they debate this bill.

I'M WITH CREIGHTON.
START A RETURN LINE AT THE BORDER AND SEND THEM ALL BACK WHERE THEY CAME FROM.
THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE HERE IS TO SUCK THE SYSTEM DRY.
A SYSTEM THAT IS SO BROKEN THAT THEY WILL GIVE THEM SOCIAL SECURITY, AND MEDICARE IF EVEN IF THEY NEVER LIVED HERE LEGALLY.
WHY SHOULD WE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THERE WELL BEING THEIR MEDICAL CARE OR THEIR EDUCATION WE DIDN'T ASK THEM TO COME HERE THEY INVITED THEMSELVES.
SEND THEM AND THE FAMILIES THAT THEY CREATED WHILE HERE ILLEGALLY, BACK TO MEXICO AND LET THEM GO THROUGH THE LEGAL PROCESS OF COMMING TO THE AMERICA, JUST LIKE MY ANCESTORS HAD TO.

Welcome to LOL!
Sorry to disagree with you but you are wrong in many of you assumptions; First of all there are about 5 billion people on this planet that can't find jobs or educate their children are you suggesting that they all come here? Or should our policy be that whoever gets here can stay? If you have any gray matter at all the answer is no we can't have those policies they would completely overwhelm our country.
So we do indeed need immigration policies, and we have a very generous policy taking in over a million new people last year.
Do we owe people that have literally invaded our country, yes of course we do, we owe them humane treatment while they are being deported. And that's all. We don't owe them free healthcare, free education or anything else.
"They did not choose to cross the border" Your ignorance is amazing, Mexicans in particular know that if they can get key family members here in the good old USA, and there is an amnesty program, those key family members will be able to bring the rest of the family in.
The illegal alien parents are responsible for the care of their children not uncle Sam, we have a real struggle to take care of our own citizens let alone 12-20 million illegals.
PS studies have shown that its not the lack of jobs in Mexico that has created the tidal wave of invaders it's that they can make so much more here, plus all the other bennies…..take away the jobs and bennies and they will go home.

PSS "Creighton would deny education to children" Yes that's right! Why? Because they are not citizens and they have come here illegally., knowing full well it was illegal, they didn't care about our laws, they thumbed their noses at us, didn't bother to wait in line just busted in throw the door. Take away the jobs and bennies and they will go home …and we will help them go home.

CAN YOU HEAR IT????
That is the sound of the giant named BUSH sucking !!!!!!!!!
Some one has to pull the plug on this guy and his pathetic administration!

Amnesty for Current Illegal Immigrants: CIRA offers amnesty and citizenship to 85 percent of the nation's current 11.9 million illegal immigrants. Under the plan, illegal immigrants who have been in the U.S. for five years or more (60 percent of illegals) would be granted immediate amnesty. Illegal immigrants who have been in the country between two and five years (25 percent of illegals) could travel to one of 16 "ports of entry," where they would receive amnesty and lawful work permits

In total, the bill would grant amnesty to 85 percent of the current illegal immigrant population, or some 10 million individuals.
After receiving amnesty, illegal immigrants would spend six years in a provisional status before attaining LPR status. After five years in LPR status, they would have the opportunity to become naturalized citizens and vote in U.S. elections. As well, the spouses and dependent children of current illegal immigrants would have the right to enter the U.S. and become citizens.
There would be no numeric limit on the number of illegal immigrants, spouses, and dependents receiving LPR status; under the amnesty provision, such individuals would not be counted against any other cap or limit in immigration law.[

Arrest any and all who employ illegal aliens. Confiscate their property and sell it off. Use the proceeds from the sale to reimburse the government for services given to the illegal aliens. Go after the stockholders too.

But don't hold your breath on any of this because Bush won't bite the hands that feeds him. Look at the DOJ procecutions of businesses that use illegal aliens. Under Bush it has been two. Clinton's DOJ procecuted over three hundred.
