First off, I would guess that these different Twps. are going to have to adopt ordinances to cover their part of the trail. Now Conestoga Twp. has a police dept. so there will be no problem enforcing the ordinances. For the rest of them, they have no police depts. and the State Police will not enforce local ordinances. So who is going to enforce them. Someone said about Qville Boro. I would expect that they won't enforce anything till agreements are written up and signed and some kind of compensation is worked out. It would be a long ride for a Qville unit to run to the Martic Forge bridge or down the other way to 896. Wonder how many of these Twps. have checked into liability insurance. This will be fun to watch, especially when the first law suit is filed for several mill.
Well 'pounder - if and when I hike or bike down there I'll be sure to ask for your personal protection.

I'll be carrying a camera, a cell phone and personal protection next time.

I'm going through the list in my mind - Does this mean a firearm, a seeing eye dog or a condom in your wallet?

A number of years ago when the trail opened north of Elizabethtown there were several assaults on female joggers/bikers. It makes me feel better about hiking a trail if I know it is patrolled.

i have walked the trail in ephrata---it is wonderful, paved, lighted. this trail runs behind my home and lots of 4 wheelers and bikers use it, not paved, there is a high bank on both sides. not sure if i'll use it.
