You have to love business owners. They are always crying about onerous taxes and regulation, but they are first in line to suckle at government's teet when it comes to handouts, such as these paid advertising campaigns.
They plead with the government to let the free market capitalist sytem work, while at the same time begging like dogs for subsidies. We have a tremendous opportunity to reign in government spending at this time, but the Brubaker type politicians are going to be fighting tooth and nail to please their special interests that fund their campaigns.

Folks just dont realize that the policies and "help" that the govt provides farmers are a piece of the puzzle that keeps food prices down. If these govt "assistance" programs go away, food prices will rise to a level where you have never seen before. Gov. Rendell is making a huge mistake, but hey, if Americans want less govt programs in agriculture then they must be willing to increase their family food budgets. Its your choice because agriculture would never be where it is today without tremendious support, both with research and education. If people want their food cheap, which it is now, they had better jump all over Gov Rendell and tell him that his cuts will severely damage long term agriculture in PA.
