I'm sure there is more, there always is. I was home yesterday while this all went on. I went to the scene and talked to a neighbor who did hear gunshots- plus the only reason the cops came is because a neighbor callled because he was firing his gun...i'm sure they can find evidence of that very easily (shell casings). Maybe additional charges will be filed..

Not sure if firing a gun is a crime if it were Lancaster city wouldn’t have just past a law to make it illegal to fire a gun in the city.

Why do you need an assault rifle? Are the deer armed too?

I have a constitutional right to “have” I don’t have to show need, that I wanted one is all that matters.
I can tell you are gun illiterate, don’t feel bad you have plenty of company at LOL.
The term “offensive weapon” sounds PC, guns are pieces of metal and plastic with absolutely no inherent offensive or defensive characteristics until they are used in an offensive or defensive role. The roles are interchangeable and based on the user’s actions and not the gun’s configuration or characteristics.

i didn't say the search was illegal i just asked how they can get a search warrant to search his house if he in fact fired a gun outside.

I have to agree with you Joe, but the cops may have a right (maybe not a right) or a duty to walk through a home when gun fire was reported, it still sounds like an invasion of rights to me too though.

I wonder if they got the warrent to look for his guns? Then they would have been able to come across the plants looking for guns. Just a thought but there are many ways this could have unfolded for us to speculate about it being legal or illegal is a waste without more info. If he was growing 3-4 plants for "dealing" he would have starved to death on the little bit of cash that would have produced.

it said several plants, and it didn't say large plants. several means 3 to me, which ain't much of an operation. as far as a warrant goes, how did they get a search warrant without an eyewitness? did a neighbor identify terry as the shooter?
was he being mugged and was trying to scare off his attackers?
i know the patriot act did away with many of our rights, but can the cops search your house becauue someone heard what they said was gunshots?

Uh Hello. I saw the LARGE plants on the news. Maybe perhaps he was a smalltime wanna be dealer.
