Like from 2001 through 2006?

What is Obama proposing or doing that can be properly classified as "socialism"? Will someone who is throwing that word around kindly define socialism for us, tell us how Obama's policies fit that definition, and say why you disagree with them.

The economic stimulus is to SAVE capitalism from the mess it created for itself. A catastrophe allowed to transpire by this deregulatory, laissez-faire attitude. Alan Greenspan himself admitted that the credit crisis revealed a "flaw" in his economic philosophy.

I welcome an America more like Europe. Heck, Obama might as well go for things like single-payer universal healthcare because he's going to face this absurd charge of "socialism" no matter what he does. The Democrats always do this. They're always bullied into half-assed positions by relentless Republican smears.
