Im actually relieved by the presense of protesters at this event....if it went on without any I think there'd be something terribly wrong. (although sometimes I do think that perhaps if no one reacted to anything out of Nuge's mouth perhaps he'd just go away and become a fading dot.)

His utmost fascination with weopons and the 'right' to carry them, and his enthusiastic rhetoric about shooting 'intruders' (common sense would dictate that anyone arming themselves for protection purposes would train themselves to be ready for intruders ~~as well as 'accurate ' shots and not accidentally shooting a drunked loved ones falling in at a wee hour of the morn) leaves me to question the number of cards in his deck. In as much as PETA is the sensational, attention seeking CLOWN CAR for animal concerns, he is the CLOWN CAR for hunting rights and weopons.

Not everyone animal advocate is a PETA member and thankfully, many 'ethical' hunters and gun owners are not card carrying members of Ted's army of carnage making.

for years we heard the right call bill clinton a draft dodger . how dare he. the trouble is that the chief accuser, rush limballs, is himself a draft dodger, and what's worse he supported the war as long as he and dick cheney and other "patriots" didn't have to go.
if you can show me where anyone in authority on the right has ever condemned them for their draft dodging please tell, as i have never heard on peep about the rightwing draft dodgers, of which there are plenty.
also minorities didn't get to dodge the draft like white kids.
my point was the unfairness of it all , i was not dissing the soldiers who served regardless of their politics.

Funny part is for two weeks before Nugent came there my husband who is a member of the club, I'm not because I have been banned for life a day from there, kept asking me if the animal rights group would be protesting this event. I laughed and told him we would not waste our time. Also not PETA and do not know anyone that is PETA. When the article came out that a religous group would be up there protesting the club asked my husband if I was behind this group coming up there. Really getting tired of being blamed for everything. Did enjoy that someone went up there to protest.
