Respect Creighton but Brubaker has to go. He proposed the gay marriage amendment. Also when in Harrisburg the other month his assistant explained why we should continue having puppy mills to a group of animal rights activists. Not a smart move.

I guess so, but my trade offer stands, creighton & brubaker to the great democratic party.

To be fair, though, we are still more than a year away from the primary. The poll numbers now don't mean much. For example, if Tom Ridge, who has indicated that he is running as a Republican, beats Toomey, Specter faces a much tougher fight. Also, the response to votes in the upcoming year from Specter can certainly sway public opinion. Finally, the latest increase may also be because of the amount of press that Specter has gotten in the past week.

Personally, I'd say that Specter has little to worry about. However, my belief is based on trends and not the current poll numbers which are notoriously fickle.
