I would be interested to take part of a day and watch the clean up to see what extra precaution is taken. I know a legitimate complaint from neighbors of the project was the environmental concerns as the land fill is removed. Especially with all of this rain right now, I would expect that run-off from the land fill might be contaminating ground water.

I don't know much about cleaning up a land fill, but I have looked at the www.Trraac.com website when I helped my Russian friend write a paper for class at Millersville 2 weeks ago. I was rather shocked to learn the digging had begun on the project. It is taxpayer money paying for this, right? I didn't think that they secured the state funds for the land fill part yet, at least that was what Trraac website said.

Yup! It pays to have friends in high places (Fry is a Philly buddy of Rendell). Was this the Growing Greener grant through the county? It would be ironic to clean up a dump to in order to move a railroad parking lot/grime/noise/pollution to where stupid wildlife, ignorant of the hazards beneath their paws, enjoyed till recently.
