A New Holland man was arrested Saturday and charged with molesting a child in East Earl Township.

Joseph Benjamin Hock, 34, of 140 E. Main St., was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

East Earl police Chief Kevin McCarthy said Hock is alleged to have assaulted a 13-year-old female multiple times from June through October 2006.

Hock was arraigned before District Judge Gene Willwerth in Ephrata and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.

Police said they received a tip about a possible sexual assault from the Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency on April 23.

Hock was arrested by Officer Michael P. Vance on Saturday afternoon. East Earl police were assisted in the investigation by Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency, Lancaster County Children's Alliance and the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.

Hock has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday before District Justice Rodney Hartman in New Holland.

WOW! Either someone didn't say anything, or the police were a little behind with their homework. Arresting this guy three years later? This isn't like the Catholic coverup.

Jeeeesh!
