And he is also unrepentant! Where is the outrage!?!?!

There is probably no outrage because Gen. Powell has proven on many different occasions to be a capable leader. Most people realize that Gen. Powell is a good soldier who was just following orders.

Gen. Colin Powell should have become President of the United States.

But since Gen. Powell has always been such a good soldier, when his Commander-In-Chief ordered him to lie, he did. When the lies were revealed, Gen. Powell's political future was tragically ended.

Gen. Powell's once-promising political future is yet another needless casualty.

wrongo. he wasn't ordered to lie, he was lied to and belived bush/cheney like a lot of people before they caught on to what criminals they are.
do you think powell would send kids to die on lies friom a scumbag like bush jr?
how dare you.

You first statement is incorrect: He had and used WMDs against the Kurds.

.

yes and then reagan sent rummy over to fawn over him. how ugly it was. thanks for reminding us what a total barfbag reagan was. he supported saddam after he gassed the kurds and then sold stolen weapons to islamic terrorists in iran.
reagan of course should have been hanged for treason i am sure you would agree.

Second statement is incorrect unless you do not consider Kuwait an ally. I also believe Hussein was throwing missles (scuds) into Israel.

kuwait our ally? are you really that naive or are you pretending? kuwait voted against us more times than the russians in the u.n and would not let american service personel sully their land even after reagan reflagged their oil tankers with american flags to keep the iranians from shelling them.
kuwait was stealing saddam's oil with slant drilling equipment the kuwaitis bought from america.
kuwait an ally? why do you think april glaspie told saddam we would not interfere if saddam attacked kuwait for stealing his oil?

I always believed that Gen. Powell is intelligent enough to understand the actual situation.

QUOTE (Don Eberly @ advisor to Pres. GW Bush)
"The only logical conclusion," Eberly writes, "with the benefit of hindsight, is that the invasion might not have been carried out if the facts on the ground had been fully assessed."
