(2)Police found James Markley Brown at his home soon after the hit-and-run wrecks in the first and second blocks of East Main Street.
Late Friday night, Brown was a few blocks from home when he struck vehicles driven by Ashley King and Gregoria Perez, according to police. The women weren't hurt, and police described the crashes as minor. King pulled into Dart Container and reported her car being struck. Officers located Brown at his home within minutes.
Witnesses provided police with Brown's license plate number, and the station wagon was traced to his West Main Street address.
A breathalyzer test showed that Brown, 50, had a blood-alcohol level of .23 percent. Pennsylvania law allows a driver's blood-alcohol level to be no more than .08 percent.
East Lampeter police said Monday that they will be charging Brown driving under the influence, hit-and-run and several traffic violations.
Brown is facing prison time if convicted because the DUI offense will be his third since 2006, according to court records.
He wasn't imprisoned Friday, and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
According to records, Brown was stopped in West Lampeter Township in 2006 with a blood-alcohol level above .16 percent. In 2007, Lancaster city police charged him with DUI.
He also was charged in 2006 with public drunkenness.
He pleaded guilty to all the charges, documents show.
