TALKING POINTS: Caught reading!

• " 'Jack and Annie' [Magic Tree House Books] because it has so many adventures and you can explore different things."

-Oluseyi Fashay, Lancaster

• "I'm reading a biography on Charles Schulz. I'm interested in people and their lives and stuff and it kind of jumped off the shelf. ... [It's] definitely a good book."

-Megan Blank, Leola

• " 'A Long Way Gone ...' [by Ishmael Beah] I'm reading that because of our book club. I find that's the advantage of a book club; it forces you to pick a book possibly you wouldn't normally read yourself."

-Tom Burkins, East Lampeter

• "Typically, [I read] newspapers, I like current and world events."

-Thomas Hoffman, Akron

• "The Nancy Drew series [by Carolyn Keene] because I like mysteries."

-Wygina Risser, Denver
