I went to this lecture. I was appalled and disgusted by 15 minutes into it. I am an Alzheimer's caretaker and can tell you without a doubt that this man DOES NOT have Alzheimer's. Considering that the average length of life from diagnosis to death for folks diagnosed before the age of 70 is 10.7 years, there is NO WAY this man is 9 years into the disease and can still give an hour and a half lecture with nothing but cue cards. He never missed a beat. A couple of years from now, all those organizations who are backing him will have to back away out of embarrassment that they have been scammed. He may have a VERY mild form of slow progressing Dementia, but he does NOT have Alzheimer's and his care philosophies fly in the face of everything science has taught us to date about this disease. It was a waste of $20 and a disgrace to anyone actually living with this horrible disease. Shame on HIM!

I don't know much about Alzheimers, but I must admit that while reading the article about this man, something didn't ring true, so I found PImom's comments interesting.
If he is using this tragic disease as a means of getting attention and/or money...then truly shame on him.
