Police arrested Iraida Rodriguez-Velez, no age given, of Lancaster, following a drive-by shooting outside the Prince of Subs restaurant in the 100 block of South Prince Street, just before 11 p.m. Friday, city police said.

According to police, Rodriguez-Velez circled the block several times before stopping in the center of the street and firing a .32 caliber handgun from her vehicle.

No one was hit.

Police said Rodriguez-Velez fled the scene before they arrived. They found her car parked in the 400 block of South Duke Street and learned her address from its tags. They arrested her at her home.

She was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and "person not to possess firearm," police said.

Police searched the restaurant inside and out, and found no marks from a bullet, said an employee, Rolando Castillo.

He did not hear the shots because the restaurant was so busy, he said.

"We just give God thanks that no one was hurt."
