A third suspect allegedly involved in a break-in at an elderly woman's home in April was nabbed Tuesday outside a Denver hotel.

Adalberto Rodriguez, 34, was arrested about 3 p.m. in the parking lot of an Econo Lodge on Route 272 near the Pennsylvania Turnpike, investigators said.

He is accused of being involved in an April 2 break-in on Long Lane in East Donegal Township. Rodriguez and two other suspects planned the break-in and at least two of them entered the woman's home, police said.

The 93-year-old woman was watching television alone in the home when she was confronted by two of the intruders demanding money.

Those two — David E. Brown II, 30, and Jennifer Goldsborough, 28 — were arrested earlier this month. Susquehanna Regional police Lt. Stephen Englert didn't elaborate on Rodriguez's role in the incident.

Each is charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy — all felonies.

All are at Lancaster County Prison. District Judge Jayne Duncan set Rodriguez's bail at $50,000 after arraigning him Tuesday night.

The suspects left the home with cash and merchandise. The woman wasn't harmed.

Rodriguez allegedly had been on the run for more than two months and initially was known to investigators only as a "John Doe." His nickname, "Eric," then surfaced, and a team of investigators made the arrest Tuesday.

The bust was made by three officials with Operation Falcon, a fugitive task force consisting of U.S. Marshals, Lancaster County sheriffs and local police.

Sheriff Sgt. Chris Leppler was among the team who tracked and took Rodriguez into custody.

He said the team tailed Rodriguez's girlfriend to the motel, then staked out the place for about three hours.

Eventually, Rodriguez came outside and was taken into custody without incident.

"He kind of knew this eventually was going to happen. He just didn't know when," Leppler said. "He had been on the lam for quite a while."

Rodriguez had lived in the Bronx before moving to Lancaster County, where he lived out of motels, according to officials. They were unsure how long he had been in this area.

"I'm elated to get this type of person off the streets and make the streets a lot safer," Leppler said.

Operation Falcon is a once-a-year consolidated effort to nab violent fugitives and other wanted offenders.

The operation will be ongoing for several weeks, officials said.

Way to go, Operation Falcon. Wouldn't hurt to give Canadiana Motor Inn in Coatesville a try sometime as well for an arrest or two or three.
