A 20-year-old Lancaster City man arrived at a local hospital early today with two gunshot wounds to his leg, police said, and a shaky story about how he got that way.

According to Lancaster City police, officers were dispatched to the first block of North Ann Street just after 2:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired.
Police said they located several 9 mm shell casings on the sidewalk on the east side of the street.
After speaking to witnesses, police learned that a male and female were seen entering a gray or silver vehicle immediately after the gunshots were heard.
Police said they were told that a gray vehicle driven by a female arrived at Lancaster General Hospital around 2:51 a.m. and dropped off the 20-year-old man,who had two gunshot wounds to his left leg.
The car then drove off, leaving the man to enter the hospital alone.
According to a police report, the victim's account of the shooting was "inconsistent," down to the location of the shooting, and did not match the witness reports officers collected earlier.
Police said witness accounts were also corroborated by footage from Lancaster Safety Coalition cameras that verified the travels of the gray vehicle as it left the scene.
Officers said they will continue to investigate the incident and that there are currently no named suspects or charges being filed.

In an unrelated incident, two 18-year-old Elizabethtown men were arrested after an attempted robbery turned into a "fight involving guns," police said.
On Wednesday, just after 11 p.m., Elizabethtown police were dispatched to the first block of West High Street.
After arriving, police discovered the victims, who apparently were unharmed.
Officers said an investigation led to the arrest of Tripp Halterman and Bobby Gibble, both residents in the first block of North Poplar Street.
The weapon used in the shooting was recovered at the men's home following the use of a search warrant, officers said.
Both Halterman and Gibble were charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery and criminal conspiracy. Halterman is also charged with possessing a firearm without a license, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
The preliminary arraignment went before district Judge Robert Herrman in Columbia.
Halterman's bail was set at $50,000 and he was committed to Lancaster County Prison.
Gibble was also sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
