Two people remain hospitalized, one in critical condition, after a two-car collision in Mount Joy Township on Friday.

The crash occurred along Route 230, just east of Cloverleaf Road, Northwest Regional Police Chief Sam Gatchell said Monday.

Diego V. Jimenez, 72, of Mount Joy was pulling out of a convenience store/gas station parking lot when his car was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Heidi Lyons, 39, of Mount Joy, Gatchell said.

Jimenez and his passenger, Maribel Mendez, 35, of Puerto Rico, were taken to Hershey Medical Center.

Jimenez was listed in critical condition Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Mendez was in good condition.

Lyons and her two passengers, her son and daughter, also reportedly were taken to a hospital but apparently were not admitted, Gatchell said.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
