(2)Police said they seized 26 pounds of marijuana, eight packets of heroin, a gun, $5,884 cash and various suspected drug paraphernalia.
Joseph A. Suggs, 21, and Mayra Ivette Rodriguez, 23, both of 1351 Elm Ave., were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Police said they obtained a search warrant and found Suggs and Rodriguez to be in possession of the marijuana, the cash and a loaded Taurus semi-automatic handgun.
Police also allegedly found green plastic Saran Wrap with marijuana residue, a digital scale, gallon-sized Ziploc bags and two 200-gram calibration weights.
• In a separate incident, task force members said they charged William Laporte Collazo, 37, of 224 S. Lime St., Apt. 1, with possession with intent to deliver heroin in the 400 block of South Christian Street on Thursday afternoon.
Collazo tried to sell $45 worth of heroin to an undercover policeman, police said.
Collazo was found to be in possession of eight blue packets containing heroin, police said.
