Lancaster County Drug Task Force officers said they apprehended three suspected drug dealers in the city on Thursday.

Police said they seized 26 pounds of marijuana, eight packets of heroin, a gun, $5,884 cash and various suspected drug paraphernalia.

Joseph A. Suggs, 21, and Mayra Ivette Rodriguez, 23, both of 1351 Elm Ave., were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.

Police said they obtained a search warrant and found Suggs and Rodriguez to be in possession of the marijuana, the cash and a loaded Taurus semi-automatic handgun.

Police also allegedly found green plastic Saran Wrap with marijuana residue, a digital scale, gallon-sized Ziploc bags and two 200-gram calibration weights.

In a separate incident, task force members said they charged William Laporte Collazo, 37, of 224 S. Lime St., Apt. 1, with possession with intent to deliver heroin in the 400 block of South Christian Street on Thursday afternoon.

Collazo tried to sell $45 worth of heroin to an undercover policeman, police said.

Collazo was found to be in possession of eight blue packets containing heroin, police said.

The couple had more than pot, but not the heroin. The heroin was in the 2nd bust listed (see below and YOU read it).

So that's that 'I$H they be on that has them worrying about what the next man is doing. I see how that strain may have the potential to seriously alter ones faculties. I just don't see the correlation with burb'ian B3tch@$$'ne$$.

Why imprison a user , grower , or seller of that naturally organic specimen of hempest smoke a ladus , unless it is for economic reasons.

The 14Th amendment made all taxpayers liable for national debt. ( It did way more than that , but essentially , your "RIGHTS" are granted , as opposed to standing.

Personally , I think it should be illegal not to graduate from any college you want to attend. It should be illegal not to graduate in the sensitive technical fields that the country has to outsource to India, etc.

I think that demonstrates the best interest of the citizens more than locking this guy up does.
( Even $$ they get longer sentences than the 6 - 23 mnths the sexually violent predator received last week in this case.

Heck of a message!

Which one would you prefer lived next door?
Chester the Repeater Child Molester or This couple & weed.

Remove Laws governing the two offenses, & the danger of the weed disappears , but Chester The Repeated Child Molester is just as dangerous. Law or Not!

I would build a jail on top of the jail that I buried Chester under.

While sentencing these ^^^^^^^^^^^ guys to compete in the grueling Canibus Cup!

Child Molesting vs Pot? I couldn't care if his joint was so big , it gave him a hernia when he tried to smoke it & responding medics called cops , the 2 crimes don't compare , & pot smoking, selling , eating, etc. doesn't justify a longer sentence , or higher bail than a crime against child. Not even same category.

the pot peddler was probably taking customers away from the cops. that's one reason for the time/crime comparison. why are cops so into that aspect? love your thoughts on college too. oh and where do you think all the seized weed ends up? <hmm>

They smoke crack in the 'Burbs!

"Well, I guess that this bust did nothing much to the supply down on South Duke. As I passed down there this evening I passed several homes where the smell of pot "cleverly" disguised by incense permeated the air. Even a group of individuals lighting up right out in the open with their loud radios blasting."

>>>Shocked

SMFH @ Worrying about next person being happy. Are you their neighbor complaining? Next time don't pass through, I doubt you will be missed & your problem is solved.

To much worrying about someone else enjoying their constitutional right to pursue happiness & not enough time making yourself happy. Maybe it's something in the 'burbs water supply that makes people do that. What is your point? You wanna trade places with them? Take a toke? How can you tell the difference between incense, weed, & incense mixed with weed unless you've smoked the chronic? Burnt leaves smell like weed , so don't smokescreen me.

You have smoked before , so don't act like your sanctimonious _$$ shouldn't be right in jail with them , or contributing to their legal fund, or just shutting TF up & stepping on the ga$ , like " There's nothing to see here folks, Move Along!"

Some of you people are so plastic , your see through. If you smoke cigarettes , drink alcohol , viagra, ciallis, lunestra, etc., for whatever reason , your just as guilty morally , even though not legally. Some laws are just plain unjust , illegal , & unconstitutional.

In a nation of laws , the law doesn't seem to matter much...unless it is being selectively enforced.

Will you please run for President?

All these anti-whatever people care about is a clean place for them to live in. A place to drive there Volvo's, and they will bust on anything and refuse knowledge because the government has been spreading propaganda. Have ANY of you ever seen any deaths pot related ever? Alcohol related deaths in the thousands, tobacco deaths, in the hundreds of thousands. NO POT DEATHS. Its not dangerous!

I agree, a LOT of laws are unjust. Its almost inhuman to take away someone's future, for a little pot.

No mention of where the arrests were made other than " in the city ". Would they have been arrested near The Con?

Please define what you consider "near the convention" center to be.
