State police at Lancaster reported Saturday that they investigated a theft of services at the Frogtown Cafe, 684 Marticville Road, which happened between March 29 and June 22.

Police said that owner Brett Faulds, 35, Pequea, tampered with an electric meter to provide electricity after it had been blocked by PPL Electric Utilities Corp. for nonpayment, police said. Charges were filed, according to police.
CRASH: An Ephrata man was injured after his motorcycle struck the rear of a parked van Friday in the first block of Brookfield Drive, Ephrata police reported.
Police said Derek L. Carbaugh, 19, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition late Saturday afternoon.

CHARGED: Manor Township police reported Saturday that Jeremy Foote, no age given, of Redwood Drive, will be charged with "accidents involving damage to attended vehicle" and failure of duty to give information after he fled the scene of a 2:37 p.m. Monday crash at Route 999 and Doner Road.
Foote collided with a car driven by Mike Patrone, Millersville. Patrone and his wife, Sandra, had minor injuries, police said.
DUI: Joseph Lewis Capwill, 24, Goodville, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested for driving under the influence at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Route 222 and Hunsicker Road, state police at Lancaster reported.
•Day Hser, 20, Lancaster, was arrested for driving under the influence at 1:03 a.m. Saturday following a traffic violation in the 1100 block of Millersville Road, Manor Township police said.
DOMESTIC: A neighbor called Lancaster police to a home in the 200 block of Ruby Street at 3:08 p.m. Friday when she heard a woman screaming. Police arrived to find a 42-year-old woman with an injured ear. The woman refused assistance, police said.
HARASSMENT: Two Lancaster girls ages 15 and 18 struck a 15-year-old Columbia girl several times in the head at about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the first block of Maden Lane, Rapho Township, state police said. Anyone with additional information is asked to call state police at Ephrata, 721-7667, ext. 3.
•Jan Dougherty, 53, and Leann Boyle, 24, were cited for harassment following an incident at Dougherty's home in the first block of Hemlock Acres, Rapho Township, state police at Ephrata said. The women punched each other during an argument, police said. It happened at 8:32 p.m. Friday.
Police were called back to the home at 7:36 p.m. because Craig Dougherty, 33, pushed his mother, Jan Dougherty, into her hot tub, police said. He also threw her cordless phone into the tub, police said. He was cited for summary harassment and summary criminal mischief.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A garage in the 900 block of Stively Road, Strasburg Township, was damaged by spray paint between 2 p.m. and 4:35 p.m. Friday, state police at Lancaster reported.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 1100 block of Millersville Pike before 1:10 a.m. Friday and took a backpack, clothes, $90, binoculars and a medication inhaler, Lancaster police said.
STOLEN: A UPS package of flavored coffee, value $32.98, was stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Lindengrove Road, Earl Township, at 2:20 p.m. Friday, New Holland police reported.
RETAIL THEFT: Janine Renninger, 74, of the 700 block of Sue Drive, Lititz, was charged with retail theft at 11 a.m. Thursday in the first block of East Main Street, Ephrata police reported.
Renninger was arrested after she was seen putting items in her purse and leaving the business without paying, police said. She was found a short while later, still in possession of the items.
She was released pending a formal arraignment, police reported.
VANDALISM: A vehicle was damaged by a shopping cart at Yoder's Market, 14 S. Tower Road, at 8:59 p.m. Thursday, New Holland police reported.
VIOLATION: Lisa M. Horvath, 39, of the 200 block of West Main Street, New Holland, was sent a summons for a "dogs at large" violation after a resident reported to New Holland police Friday that Horvath's dog was on his property, police said. The incident happened at 9:19 a.m.
WARRANT: Jeffrey Criswell, 24, address unknown, was arrested at 12:29 p.m. Thursday on an outstanding bench warrant issued by the county sheriff's department, New Holland police reported. The arrest took place in the 100 block of South Railroad Avenue, police said.n
