I think high school sports is getting out of hand. Kids have to give up participation in too many s ports because they are only allowed to play one sport at a time. Why can't they play more than one sport at a time? Oh, I know, because than they wouldn't get good enough at any sport. Baloney, I say. I am certain that Ephrata football would be more successful if the athletic soccer players would be able to play football too.
I always thought the college coaches could better watch and recruit high school players if high school played in the opposite season of colleges ( such as girls soccer - high school in the spring and college in the fall).
Splitting the boys junior high and senior high seems like a ridiculous idea to me.
All this rearrangement of girls soccer is not necessary and will only cause needless new problems.
What was wrong with having a spring champion and a fall champion?
