Police continue to search for a 29-year-old mother and nurse at Lancaster General Hospital who has been missing since a night out with friends last Sunday in Montgomery County.

Toni Lee Sharpless, who is single and lives with her mother and 12-year-old daughter near Coatesville, has not been heard from since 3 a.m. Sunday when she text-messaged her daughter after a night of clubbing with friends.

She never returned home and, after she did not show up at work at LGH, West Brandywine Township police on Wednesday put out an all-points bulletin for the missing woman.

According to West Brandywine police Chief Walt Werner, Sharpless and a group of friends went to the Ice Nightclub in Gladwyne on Saturday night, then to a house party with people they didn't know very well, Werner said.

Sharpless left the party with a female friend, then the two got into an argument over whether Sharpless was sober enough to drive, police said.

The friend got out of the car, and Sharpless drove away in her black 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, police said. Around the same time, Sharpless sent a text message to her daughter, who was having trouble sleeping, police said.

Police have been retracing the missing woman's possible travel route and tracking her cell phone numbers and credit card activity, if any.

A West Brandywine police officer said Friday night there were no new clues in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Brandywine police at (610) 380-8201.

I was thinking more in terms of her stashing cash in anticipation of "disappearing.".
If you plan to disappear having a bundle of cash would certainly make it easier to stay below the radar.

anything is possible?
AFTER reviewing all the blogging at "watts up" on this case, it appears Crystal Jones and Toni Sharpless were having a good time...

They got into an argument(Crystal left the car) and Sharpless disappeared into thin air.

Doesn't sound like a "plan" to be missing.

OK... What if she's alive, and what if she hooked up with some gang bangers or someone connected to the mob at that party? What if they offered her a whole new life as their lady... the guys higher up in the organizations can certainly offer a lifestyle like no other, all cash. Or what if she's under the influence of subtances that alter her state of mind and she has no idea what she's doing? Look at what happened to Brittney Spears (it is suspected that her out-of-the-blue paparazzi boyfriend was drugging her, thus causing her irrational behavior). It's unlikely a nurse would turn to selling herself on the streets to raise cash, although I've seen educated people get lost in the drug lifestyle and do things no one would ever imagine.

I sure hope she's alive and that she's found soon. I can't imagine the torture her parents and daughter must be enduring.

I pray that you are right. But please remember that Lacy Petersen was "seen" all over the U.S. too. Until she washed up on the California shore.

I have this feeling she's ended up like Holly Maddux. I feel sorry for Toni's family. They must be in agony.

So Daisy doesn't spam the thread with multiple links, including the movie about this story that can be found on imdb.com, I included the above link. The reference to Holly Maddux can be found under "Background" in para. 2,3. It's not pretty.

WATTS UP WITH THIS???

After releasing my update on the Toni Sharpless case on Vinnie Politan's radio show on Sirius yesterday, Tim Miller from Texas EquuSearch called me and said he would be willing to return to search for Toni Sharpless. Toni disappeared Aug 23rd after leaving the party of Philly 76er Willie Green's house. Green was one of the last 5 people to see her alive.

Indicates she is not alive - i.e., dead.

However, until there is a body - she is alive.
