(2)PROSTITUTION: Jack J. Barber, 41, of the 200 block of South Prince Street, was arrested after soliciting an undercover officer at 11:47 p.m. Friday, city police reported. The incident happened in the 100 block of South Water Street.
•Nancy L. Hoover, 41, of the 1000 block of North Duke Street, was arrested for prostitution in the 100 block of South Queen Street at 11:47 p.m. Friday after she offered sex to an undercover officer, city police reported.
CRASHES: A 17-year-old Reinholds boy was traveling west in the first block of Greenville Road when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree Saturday at 2:36 p.m., East Cocalico Township police said.
The impact spun his vehicle clockwise into a larger tree, and the damage trapped the driver in the car, police said. Denver Rescue freed the youth, and he was taken to the Reading Hospital Trauma unit for unspecified injuries, according to police. A 16-year-old passenger from Ephrata was uninjured.
•Traveling south on Churchtown Road, Juan C. Aguirre-Balcazar, 25, West Grove, was driving a garbage truck too fast for wet conditions, crossed the northbound lane and struck several wooden posts and a utility pole on the east side of the roadway Saturday at 11:32 a.m., state police at Ephrata said.
•Traveling south in the 200 block of Creek Road, Tandi Crother, 18, Arrowhead Drive, Ephrata, lost control of her car on a curve, drove off the roadway and struck an embankment Friday at 5:10 p.m., East Cocalico Township police said.
Crother was treated and released from Ephrata Community Hospital for a leg injury. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions and not wearing a seatbelt police said. A 2-year-old passenger was properly restrained and uninjured.
•Traveling east on East Main Street, Laura Graybill, 40, Ruth Road, Denver, was driving too fast for the wet conditions near Chapel View Drive when her vehicle fishtailed and struck a westbound car driven by Ann Hilton, 56, of the 200 block of Swamp Church Road, at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, East Cocalico Township police said. Graybill's truck then veered to the right and struck a utility pole, causing severe damage, police said.
DISORDERLY: Three people were arrested for disorderly conduct and other charges after a fight in the 600 block of West Vine Street at 5:05 a.m. Friday.
City police charged Kimberly A. Contes, 22, of the 300 block of South Queen Street, with disorderly conduct and obstruction of the law, police said. Michael A. Contes, 19, of the 600 block of West Vine Street, was charged with obstruction, and Daniel Concepcion-Perez, 24, of the 300 block of South Queen Street, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, police reported.
DOMESTIC: William Kyle, 32, Peach Bottom, was charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute Friday around 11:30 p.m., state police at Lancaster said.
Kyle slapped the victim, then punched her in the left eye, police said. Kyle was taken to Lancaster Police Department Friday night and held for arraignment, police said.
DUI: Isiah Gonzalez, 26, of the 400 block of Hill Road, faces charges of driving while intoxicated pending the results of a blood alcohol test after a one-car crash, East Cocalico Township police said.
An officer saw Gonzalez drive through a stop sign on Hill Road at Route 272 and strike an embankment at 10:21 p.m. Friday, according to police. Gonzalez failed field sobriety tests, police said.
•Melvin Soto, 41, of Glenwood Avenue, struck a vehicle with his vehicle in the 200 block of Church Street at 12:38 a.m. Saturday, city police reported.
Police said that Soto was stopped on the first block of North Marshall Street after he fled the scene of the collision. Soto was found to be highly intoxicated; he was charged with driving under the influence, hit-and-run and careless driving, according to police.
•Ashley Bax, 25, Harrisburg, was arrested for driving under the influence after her vehicle crashed into a horse-drawn buggy driven by Benuel Zook, 22, of Manheim Friday at 5:56 p.m. state police at Ephrata said.
Traveling east on Route 272 just past Breneman Road, Bax rear-ended the buggy and striking the horse before her vehicle slammed into a utility pole, according to police. Zook was treated at Lancaster General Hospital. The horse was killed.
HARASSMENT: Margaret Wright, 42, Reading, was cited with harassment, East Cocalico Township police said. Wright caused a disturbance and yelled expletives when she was told she being fired at Bollman Hat Company, 50 Denver Road, Friday at 5:10 p.m., police said.
•Jose Tirado, 23, of the 500 block of East Frederick Street, was cited for harassment at 1:14 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Franklin Street after he slammed a screen door on a woman's hand, causing bruising. Police said Tirado also punched the door several times, causing dents.
OPEN CONTAINER: Keith Sporano, 22, New Jersey, was cited for an open alcohol container violation at 11:55 p.m. Friday in Millersville.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: Cameron Morgan, 18, of the first block of Linda Lane, Stevens, was cited with public drunkenness Friday, East Cocalico Township police said. Morgan was found asleep and intoxicated in a car parked in the first block of Jefferson Avenue at 8:41 p.m., according to police.
•Kyle Allen Dundore, 22, of the 800 block Center Avenue, was cited with public drunkenness after he was seen walking along South Fourth Street incoherent and highly intoxicated Friday at 10:42 p.m., East Cocalico Township police said.
•Robert Marter, 18, Millersville, will be charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after Millersville Borough police observed Marter walking in the first block of South Prince Street in Millersville at 10:42 p.m. on Friday.
Police transported him to the hospital due to his state of intoxication.
•Kurt Hoberg, 22,will be charged with public drunkenness, after he was "passed out ... in the grass" in the first block of Shenk's Lane at 12:31 a.m. on Saturday, Millersville Borough police reported.
