Three people were arrested and charged in five recent thefts from vehicles in Manheim Township, police said.

They are: Carlos Noel Agosto, 27, and Pedro Alexander Colon, 30, both of 728 St. Joseph St.; and Fernando Cruz-Doitteau, 27, of 1635 Judie Lane.

In response to recent thefts from vehicles, Manheim Township police increased patrols and conducted surveillance of area shopping centers to try to apprehend those involved, police said.

At 3:55 p.m. Sunday, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Kmart, 1890 Fruitville Pike, and saw the occupants of the vehicle break the window of a car in the lot, police said.

Officers stopped the vehicle nearby and took occupants Agosto, Colon and Cruz-Doitteau into custody without incident, police said. An investigation determined that a GPS unit had been taken from the vehicle in the Kmart parking lot.

The three men were charged with five counts of theft from a motor vehicle and one count of criminal conspiracy in connection with the following thefts from vehicles:

Sept. 8 at 848 Plaza Blvd. — window smashed and a $450 GPS unit taken.

Friday at LA Fitness, 1300 Lititz Pike — window smashed and $1,000 laptop computer taken.

Saturday at LA Fitness, 1300 Lititz Pike — window smashed and Blackberry and iPod taken. Loss $500.

Sunday at Eden Resort, 222 Eden Road — window smashed and a GPS unit taken. Loss $300.

Sunday at Kmart — window smashed and GPS unit taken. Loss $200.

Agosto, Colon and Cruz-Doitteau were arraigned before District Judge David Miller and sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Judie Lane is in a low income apartment complex, right off Wabank Rd.
It is quites a ways from Millersville if walking.
It's about 1/2 mile from Hershey Ave.

Not to sound anal but it's exactly 1.08 miles. I can get to any part of township or other area other than the city in just a little over a mile.

I agree. I said that it was towards Millersville, hence, not in Millersville. It is, however, definitely Lancaster Township, lol.

Fizz this is a good one. The only problem is that the addresses are in less desirable areas, so if you go eye for an eye, you may end up empty handed unless you take their stolen property that they stole.
