(2)A two-car wreck occurred at 3:14 p.m. along East Newport Road (Route 772) at its intersection with Carriage Drive in Leacock Township, state police said.
Eva B. Stoltzfus, 47, of Gap, was driving a car south on Route 772, south of Intercourse, police said.
Shelly J. Shafer, 59, of Bridgeton, N.J., attempted to enter the highway from a private road on the west side of Route 772, police said. She didn't yield the right of way to Stoltzfus and continued to drive across Route 772, police said.
Stoltzfus' car struck Shafer's, and the two vehicles spun around before coming to a stop, police said.
Stoltzfus, Shafer and a passenger in Shafer's car, Cindy Anderson, 55, of Salem, N.J., were transported to Lancaster General Hospital by Gordonville Ambulance, police said.
Shafer and Anderson sustained major injuries, police said. Stoltzfus suffered a minor injury. All three women were wearing seat belts.
• Another wreck occurred at 8:34 a.m. on White Horse Road (Route 897), just west of Amish Road, in Salisbury Township, state police said.
Joette R. Phelps, 51, of Bay City, Mich., was driving a motorcycle northbound on Route 897 when she lost control on a curve in the roadway, police said.
Phelps was ejected when the motorcycle struck a guide rail on the west side of the road, police said. The motorcycle then traveled northbound about 300 feet and struck a guide rail on the east side of the road.
Deven M. Murray, 18, of Gap, was driving a car southbound on Route 897 when the two vehicles collided, police said.
Phelps was taken to Lancaster General for treatment of major injuries, police said. She was wearing a motorcycle helmet, police said.
Murray was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, police said.
White Horse EMS and Gap Fire Department assisted at the scene.
