Police were investigating burglaries in Earl and Salisbury townships early today.

New Holland Police responded to an alarm at Burkholder Manufacturing, 329 N. Railroad Ave., New Holland, at 4:59 a.m., police said.

An officer arrived less than a minute after the alarm and found a broken window in the front door of the business.

Police searched the building but found no sign of a suspect. The only thing taken was an unknown amount of cash, they said.

Another burglary occurred at Faith Mennonite High School, 5085 Woodland Drive, Kinzers, at 1:30 a.m., state police said.

Someone broke the front office door and smashed a glass window to the faculty lounge before fleeing, police said. The school security system was activated.

Police ask anyone with information on the school burglary to call them at 299-7650.

Poor Lancaster Newspapers. it really makes you wonder what is going on there? Hardly any world events reported, half truths, wrong words, unclear stories, ect. Sounds like a high school english class is writing articles.
