Lancaster Catholic High School hosted the Central Pennsylvania Regional Marching Band Competition on Saturday while Manheim Township High School was the site for the Cavalcade of Bands contest.

Young musicians, many from Lancaster County high schools, showcased their talent despite rainy weather that sent enthusiastic spectators for their umbrellas and ponchos.

• Here are the results for the Showcase in Sight and Sound at Manheim Township High School:

Independence Conference: 1. Conestoga Valley High School; 2. Upper Dauphin High School; 3. Lebanon Catholic High School; 4. Columbia High School.

American Conference: 1. Northern Lebanon High School.
