Denver man charged in baseball-bat attack

An 18-year-old Denver man faces burglary and aggravated assault charges after he struck an Adamstown resident in the head with a baseball bat Sunday, East Cocalico Township Police said today.

Steve McManus of Elm Street, faces burglary and aggravated assault charges stemming from a 7:55 p.m. incident at a residence at 2550 N. Reading Road, Adamstown, police said.

Three others also were charged in the incident, police said.

Cameron D. Morgan, 18, of Linda Lane, Denver, Scott Wentzel, 19, of Oriole Drive, Ephrata, and a 15-year-old Denver boy face burglary and criminal conspiracy charges, police said.

A hit in the head with a baseball bat can cause serious damage. I certainly hope the victim is ok. But this incident should serve to remind us that even losers like these people, that we tend to dismiss can be dangerous, especially when in a group.

We used to live near Steve and his family. Constant trouble. Also big cowards, the whole family. Fortunetly we moved.

My prayers are with the man who was attacked. As for the attackers...take em out of the gene pool, quick! before they reproduce!
