I agree with you. When I lived in Phoenix, during the World Series in 2001 we had them flying right over my home and headed on down to Bank One Ballpark. The seventh game, a stealth bomber flew over. THAT was totally cool (and totally stealthy :-)

I remember a couple of times the Thunderbirds were "rehearsing" for an air show at Luke AFB and they buzzed my house a couple of times. It was something like I have not experienced before or since. Same with the Blue Angels. They often did a fly over the Fiesta Bowl parade.

Having Luke AFB nearby Phoenix, we too would head on down the highway and watch the 'flyboys' do their thing. It's amazing how close up you can get to the action.

I always thought this woud be a fitting tribute to a fallen hero as well. The drawback is that it has to be either at a high altitude or over water.

When the C130 launches its load of flares, the resulting smoke trails look eerily similar to an angel.

They were stories that related to those that serve our country, and the impressions that they leave on us. I still get goosebumps when I think of that day when I was standing at the end of that runway.

I posted my story and the web site out of pride for those that wear the Uniform of our Armed Services. Pride that men of courage, like Colonel Huber, exibit each and every day.

Again, Thank you Colonel Huber for your service to our Country and our Community. May you rest in peace, because men like you gave us peace.
