SHOT FIRED: City police said shots were reported at East King and Lime streets around 2:10 a.m. Saturday.
One shot was confirmed fired. Nobody was hit, and police said nobody had been taken into custody. Several witnesses fled the scene, police said.
ROBBERY: A robber with a knife reportedly stole an iPod valued at $125 at Fifth and Union streets, Columbia, around 4 p.m. Saturday. Police in Columbia were investigating.
HALLOWEEN MISCHIEF: Several vandalism incidents in the overnight hours were reported Saturday by Manor Township police.
Three vehicles parked in a driveway in the 600 block of Fairway Drive had eggs thrown on them, police reported.
Trees were "toilet-papered" and a mailbox was shrink-wrapped in the 1000 block of Shadowstone Drive. Several Halloween decorations were also deflated, police said.
A car was reported keyed in the 1000 block of Tom Paine Drive, according to police.
DUI: State police at Ephrata reported that Jeremy Elmer Taylor, 27, East Earl, was stopped for traffic violations at 1:57 a.m. Thursday at Route 322 and Hahnstown Road and was found to be intoxicated.
Police said Taylor was arrested for driving under the influence.
•Sheryl Johnson, 35, Manheim, was arrested for driving under the influence at 3:01 a.m. Saturday at East Gramby Street and North Wolf Street, Manheim Borough, state police at Ephrata reported.
•Aaron Christopher Downes, 39, Mount Joy, was arrested for driving under the influence at 1:57 a.m. Saturday at Route 230 and Orchard Road, state police at Lancaster said.
Downes was arrested after police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the back parking lot of Papa's Pizza.
•Vickie M. Hodgson, 30, Quarryville, was stopped at 10:25 p.m., Oct. 20, in the 200 block of South Lime Street, Quarryville, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, Quarryville Borough police said.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: Michael P. Knosp, 28, of the 200 block of East Ross Street, was arrested at about 1:05 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of North Lime Street and charged with public drunkenness, police said.
•Melvin P. Pagan, 22, of the first block of East Farnum Street, and Alexis M. Diaz-Del Valle, 23, of the 300 block of East King Street, were involved in a fight shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of East Orange Street and cited with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, city police said.
HARASSMENT: David Diano, 38, Paradise, will be charged with harassment after he called a Strasburg woman when she had asked him not to, state police at Lancaster reported Friday.
RETAIL THEFTS: Anthony Gerard Malave, 44, Lancaster, was arrested for retail theft at 12:56 p.m. Thursday at Wal-Mart, 2034 Lincoln Highway East, after he was seen by store security concealing $102.33 in merchandise in a handbag, East Lampeter Township police reported.
•A 14-year-old Lancaster boy and a 16-year-old East Hempfield Township boy were charged with retail theft Saturday, East Lampeter Township police said. The duo was stopped trying to leave the same Wal-Mart with aerosol pellet guns and soft pellets worth $52 without paying at 3 p.m., police said.
•Samantha Ayala, 20, of Manor Township, and Karley Kolb, 18, of Manheim Township, were charged with retail theft at the Lincoln Highway East Wal-Mart at 1:50 p.m. Friday, East Lampeter Township police said. Ayala placed $50 worth of toiletries and clothing in her purse, and Kolb attempted to take $11.50 in hair accessories, police said.
STOLEN PURSE: A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Meadow Drive, state police at Ephrata reported.
The purse was taken sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 721-7667.
THEFTS: Charges of theft by unlawful taking were filed Thursday against a 15-year-old female student at Conestoga Valley High School, East Lampeter Township police reported.
Police said the theft of anApple iPhone and cash was reported by a 17-year-old female student.
•Ricky Ulrich, 51, of the 800 block of Glenwood Drive, Ephrata, was charged with theft of services Friday for tapping into cable service in his home without paying for it, Ephrata police said.
•A Lancaster man reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered Wednesday in the 900 block of Bentley Ridge Boulevard, East Lampeter Township police said.
A GPS device, a digital camera, a Pennsylvania EZ Pass, a pocket knife and a blue four-cell Magnum flashlight were taken, police said.The incident happened at 12:10 p.m.
•State police investigated the theft of a vehicle from a Quarryville woman overnight Thursday. A 16-year-old Quarryville boy was to be charged with taking the vehicle for a joyride, police said.
•A black single-fold leather wallet containing a driver's license and other valuables was stolen from an unlocked car between 11 p.m. Thursday and noon Friday in the first block of East Clay Street, police said. Also stolen from the vehicle, which was left with a window rolled down, was $22 in cash, police said.
•Quarryville Borough police said 100 CDs and a CD carrying case were stolen from an unlocked Jeep parked in the 100 block of South Hess Street, Quarryville, overnight Thursday. The theft happened between 10 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday, police said.
WARRANT ARRESTS: Melissa A. Bell , 40, was arrested on warrants at 12:21 p.m. Saturday at her home in the first block of South Marshall Street, Lancaster police said.
•Shamari L. Smith, 20, who is homeless, was arrested about 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the first block of Campbell Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct and summary warrants, police said.
