Police said three people were injured Monday in a head-on crash in East Cocalico Township.

Officer Gail Sizer said a sedan driven by Amanda Miller, 22, of Elverson, was traveling north in the 1200 block of North Reading Road when it collided with a southbound sport utility vehicle driven by David Hermalik, 51, of Ephrata, about 7:45 p.m.

Miller was taken to Lancaster General Hospital with traumatic injuries, and a female passenger in her vehicle sustained minor injuries, Sizer said.

Hermalik was taken to Reading Hospital with moderate injuries.

Police were investigating late Monday.

Fire units from Reamstown and Stevens responded, as did ambulances from Reamstown and Reinholds, Medic 4 and Medic 9.
