(2)In Martic Township, where three candidates were vying for two seats on the township's board of supervisors, two Republicans both captured more than 300 votes to win.
They are Richard C. Drumm Jr., a 50-year-old farmer and landscaper from 40 Penncroft Drive, Holtwood, and Ted Irwin, a 61-year-old retiree from 75 Creamery Road, Pequea.
But there was a strong showing in the race by the Democratic candidate, Haines Henry Jr., a 47-year-old construction manager from 18 Red Hill Road, Pequea.
The results had not been available at presstime late Tuesday night.
With all precincts reporting, the unofficial final totals were:
Irwin — 340
Drumm — 308
Henry — 268
There also were no returns available late Tuesday in the race for constable in Penn Township.
Republican Joe Dittoe Jr. scored an easy victory by a nearly 5-to-1 margin over Democrat John Griffith:
