Death in Sadsbury Township ruled suicide

State police said Wednesday that a man found dead in a wooded area of Sadsbury Township committed suicide.

The body of Robert Herbert Brown, 52, of Country Club Road, Coatesville, was found Tuesday along Creek Road, near Brick Mill Road, police said.

After an autopsy and police investigation, the death was determined to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Trooper Gerard Sauers.

Brown's sport utility vehicle was parked near the site, and a bicyclist found the body around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
