Now, Goodin has been arrested again, police said, for allegedly sexually assaulting another little girl — his first victim's younger sister.
Goodin, 45, of 1465 Turnpike Road, Elizabethtown, was charged by police recently with aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault and corruption of minors.
In the arrest warrant affidavit, filed late last month, the child gave Elizabethtown police Detective Clair Martin Jr. a detailed account of the "numerous" assaults over the years.
Between 2001 and 2005, the girl told police, Goodin repeatedly sexually assaulted her, beginning when she was 5.
And, she told Martin, the incidents were similar to her sister's encounters with Goodin.
The charges were filed only recently, Martin explained, after the girl told her sister about the assaults.
Goodin, who was acquainted with the victims' family, is accused of sexually assaulting the child — as he did her sister — at various locations in Elizabethtown Borough, police said.
In the first case, according to court records, Goodin was charged with corruption of minors and two counts each of rape and indecent assault.
But the more serious charges were eventually dropped and Goodin pleaded guilty in 2006 to corruption of minors and indecent assault, according to court documents.
He was placed on probation and ordered to register as a sex offender under the state's Megan's Law requirements.
The first case came to light when a friend of the victim went to a school official and told her what she had read in the child's journal.
Those offenses, police said, took place at various times between 2003 and 2005.
Goodin, who police said is still on probation for the first offense, was released on bail pending a hearing.
