Police and a hospital spokeswoman on Monday updated conditions of the five teens injured in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday in the 900 block of Schoeneck Road in West Cocalico Township.

The vehicle hit a utility pole, rolled several times and landed on its roof, police said.

The driver, Ethan Hartman, 19, of Reinholds, was listed in fair condition at Lancaster General Hospital Monday. He was the only person involved in the accident who was identified by police.

An 18-year-old passenger from Ephrata was flown by a Penn Star helicopter unit to Reading Hospital with traumatic injuries, according to police. He was expected to be released from the hospital Monday.

Two 16-year-old girls from Denver and a 16-year-old boy from Reinholds were taken to LGH and Reading Hospital for treatment.

One of the girls was in critical condition on Monday and the other had been released from the hospital, police said. The Reinholds boy was released from the hospital on Sunday.

The crash is still under investigation by East Cocalico Township police.

First off, I'm a full disclosure kinda guy, not the style to use anonymous names and play Mr. Rightous. I'm not saying you enable and let the kids get away with everything, but frankly you judging these kids, spewing your hatred, and hoping for the worst is innapropriate and unneccesary. However, you and all the other talkback regulars still haven't denied the fact that you may have driven a little too fast yourself around all the stupid backroads around our area. I think death and prosecution may be a little too severe right now.

Let me get this right. The teen driver impressing the friends while putting lives in danger in his car and potentially others on the road gets a pass, but me pointing out that one was already given and didn't register means that I'm hateful and I was hoping for the worst?

Let me be the first to tell you that you may claim to be 27, but you have the reading comprehension of someone far below that. Full disclosure, Yeah I agree.

You forgot the part where you're "a piece of trash."

Smile! I'm about to make your day. I have never done that nor have I ever driven after having a drink. Satisfied? BTW, I haven't seen anyone hoping for the worst. I don't know of anyone here who wants anything but full recovery for these kids.

...which is exactly why I wrote what I did. For whatever reason there is, he's twisting my 'make them responsible for their own actions' into being hateful. Strange.
