Police nabbed two men and a teen-ager allegedly in the act of stealing $3,000 worth of copper wire Tuesday night from a trailer at Garden Spot High School, police said.

A school employee saw people breaking into the construction storage trailer shortly before 9 p.m. and called police, police said.

Officers from Ephrata Borough and East Earl, Warwick, West Earl and East Lampeter townships responded to assist New Holland Borough police.

Frank Harrison V, 18, of 618 Liberty St., was taken into custody near O'Neill's Auto Body Shop at 580 E. Main St., police said.

After an hour-long manhunt, police took Jason Maldonado, 23, of 618 Liberty St., and a 17-year-old  Columbia boy into custody in the 100 block of East Jackson Street, police said.

Police charged all three suspects with burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and criminal conspiracy.

Officers recovered nine spools of insulated copper wire valued at over $3,000.

are you kidding?! SIX townships responded to this. If things are that slow, lay some of the cops off and save the taxpayers some money!

and the sad thing is that all the other townships had to respond because the New Holland cops were at Sheetz having donuts & coffee - no kidding - drive by anytime and check it out.
