Note to the Gosselins: Pay your bills.

The Mount Joy Township Authority has placed a lien on an Elizabethtown home that Jon and Kate Gosselin used to live in and still own.

The lien is for an unpaid water tapping fee of $2,691.75, plus fees and interest.

The Gosselins bought the home, at 2190 Andrew Ave., in March 2006 for $280,000. They left it two years later, moving to a $1.12 million home in Wernersville, Berks County.

The Gosselins have not sold the five-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath brick Cape Cod home in Elizabethtown. It's on the market for $299,900.

The Gosselins starred in the reality TV show, "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which featured their twins, born in 2000, and sextuplets, born in 2004. The couple recently went through a public breakup, ending the show.

The unpaid fee is for a mandatory connection to public water lines for the house, which has a well, said Mount Joy Township Authority administrator Eric Metzler. The Gosselins have not paid the fee or been hooked up to those lines.

Metzler said the lien was placed because the Gosselins had received three or four notices that they needed to pay the fee but did not meet the mandatory deadline.

Hi, seeing how you all are in the area, do any of you know any details about Kate Gosselins "Hit and Run" that occurred approximately 2 years ago?

Sure, we've got details. I own the parked minivan which was sideswiped. It was the day before Thanksgiving, and she was driving a school bus that said "Shultz Transportation" on the side.

I know it was her because she didn't stop and leave her name.

I don't get the sarcasm.

Anyway here is the story, maybe it will jog some memories.

Cover Up of Reality Star's Hit and Run
Even though cameras seem to follow reality stars constantly, there are still many incidents that never make it to your small screen. For example, it wasn't until recently that you learned that this reality couple split up last year, but continued to act like a couple for the cameras for at least eight months after the breakup. With the encouragement of the show's producers, they covered up the truth for the sake of ratings and dollars.

Here's another example: It seems that one star of the same show was involved in a hit and run last year, but managed to completely skirt any legal ramifications. She hit a parked car, causing substantial damage, but continued on her way without stopping. Well, witnesses wrote down the license number – which was not difficult to remember as it was a vanity plate – and the police soon came knocking at her door. According to two different neighbors, the reality star began yelling "I did not stop because I'm a public figure! You can't charge me, I'm a public figure!" Despite this admission of guilt, she was never charged with a crime, nor was it ever mentioned on the reality show. Fast payouts to the municipality and to the car's owner may have had the effect of soothing ruffled feathers and rumpled fenders.

Note to self: Get rid of the vanity plate.

Note to self: Get rid of the vanity plate.

Perfect timing. Had to borrow the kids car today. Driving around in a 95 Dodge Avenger with a vanity plate that said "Be Glad I'm Not Your Kid." Bought it for him so I could keep track where he was parked when he was younger. Keep telling him to remove it.
